TP282. Sikinos island: Superb old manor

This property is one of the most impressive manor houses of Sikinos from both a historical and an architectural point of view. It is located in the settlement, Chorio, one of the most well-preserved settlements of the Cyclades and known for its four hundred year old renovated traditional houses. Chorio stands out for the coexistence of five architectural styles that compose and highlight its authentic Cycladic and traditional character. More specifically, this property is the largest house in Sikinos with an area of ​​410 sq.m. and its history is about two hundred years old. It was the home of a prominent family of the island. It is divided into three levels, the ground floor, the first and the second floor. The ground floor functioned as a stable, the servants lived on the first floor and the family lived on the second floor. The first and second levels follow the Cycladic architecture style, while the third level has a neoclassical character. The property needs reconstruction. These elements give uniqueness and rank it in one of the most impressive properties of the Cyclades.
